With a combination of 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom (12x zoom in total), the Casio Exilim EX-Z75 can cover most situations with its choice of EASYMODE, 34 BEST SHOT settings and usual settings.

In EASYMODE there are menus making it easy to see the choice of camera settings which are shown on the right hand side of the 2.6" digital TFT colour LCD monitor. There are 6 lenses in 5 groups including aspherical lens.

Still images are recorded as JPEG (Exif.2.2), DCF, DPOF compliant with movies recorded as AVI (Motion JPEG) and audio as WAV (mono). Movies can be taken as 640x480, 512x384, 320x240. The Casio EX-Z75 has a built-in flash memory of approximately 8MB and card slot for SD/SDHC/MMC/MMCplus memory cards. Proprietary rechargeable lithium-ion battery (NP-20) powers the camera which has an approximate life of 230 shots.

The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z75 features Anti Shake DSP which reduces blurring caused by moving subjects and shaky hands. ISO sensitivity is automatic when taking movies and has a still image range of 50/100/200/400 with automatic/manual switching. White Balance is auto or manual with 6 fixed modes and the flash system features auto, flash on, flash off, soft flash and red-eye reduction.

Focus modes include Contrast AF, auto focus (still only), pan, macro, infinity and manual with ranges of normal, macro and manual. Recording modes are still image, still with audio, movie with audio, vioce recorder and 33 preselected BESTSHOT scenarios. Playback functions include: still image (4x zoom), movie, rotate, 9 image display, calendar, RGB histrogram and flash assist.
