Having 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom (15x when combined) together with the technology of dual image stabilisation, which is a combination of mechanical image stabilisation and high ISO settings, the Olympus µ [mju:] 760 guards against blurring due to moving subjects or camera shake and thus ensures images that at clear and detailed.

The Olympus µ 760 also offers Super Macro mode giving a focusing distance of 8cm and gives best performance in low light conditions by using BrightCapture technology.

ISO sensitivity ranges are - auto/64/100/200/400/800/1600, White Balance includes overcast, sunlight, fluorescents and tungsten and the Olympus [mju:] 760 has an internal flash with auto/red-eye reduction/fill in/off and wide/tele working ranges.

There are a number of preset scene modes to choose from which include; landscape, portrait, night, candle, sports, indoor, fireworks, sunset, beach & snow and underwater. These special scene modes already have preselected settings for various situations and all you need to do is choose which fits your scenario.

The µ [mju:] 760 has an internal memory of 18MB and still images are stored as JPEG, EXIF2.2, PIM III, DPS, DPOF, movies with sound are stored as AVI Motion JPEG / WAV. Movies can be recorded as 640 x480, 320 x 240 and 160 x 120 at 15fps up to card capacity. The mju 760 has a 2.5" LCD and image editing choices are; black & white, resize, sepia, frame/title/calendar attachment, brightness/saturation correction. Still images can be viewed as calendar, index, zoom, slide show, rotation and movies as fast forward, reverse and frame by frame.
