| The Olympus E-510 has live View and a built in image stabiliser which makes this a very adaptable digital SLR camera that can deliver a professional standard of photography.
The Olympus E-510 has 10 megapixel Live MOS sensor and Live View with 7x / 10x magnification for accurate focusing. These features together with a built in image stabliser and new engine ensure clear, detailed shots without blurring from camera shake or subject movement.
The Olympus E-510 also has a Supersonic Wave Filter which reduces the attraction of dust.
There are 18 scene modes to choose from such as portrait, landscape, beach & snow, panorama, fireworks, sports, night, children and candle where preselections have already been made to suit the various scenarios. The Olympus E-510 has ISO sensitivity in auto (100 - 400) and manual (100 - 1600), White Balance of auto, manual, shade, overcast, fluorescents, tungsten, sunlight, adjustment and bracketing. The built in flash has auto, red-eye reduction, slow sync, slow sync 2nd curtain and fill in.
The Olympus E-510 has a dual slot for Compactflash card (type I and II), microdrive and xD picture card and still images are recorded as EXIF 2.2, PIM III, DPOF, DCF. Images can be viewed on the 2.5" HyperCrystal LCD and the Olympus E-510 also has an eye level single lens view finder with approximately 95% field of view. Images can be played back as slide show, calendar, index, zoom and histogram and editing choices include red-eye reduction, sepia, black & white, resizing and correction of saturation.
