| The Panasonic Lumix FX50 holds an impressive range of features in its stylish compact body as well as having the benefit of LEICA DC Vario-Elmarit lens. With 7.2 megapixels, 3.6x optical and 4x digital zoom and the ability to take wide angle shots such as group portraits and landscapes, the Panasonic FX50 is an extremely versatile camera which produces superb quality prints.
The Lumix FX50 also comes equipped with MEGA O.I.S.system (Optical Image Stabiliser) and I.I.C (Intelligent ISO Control) which means that blurring will be compensated for when caused by hand shake or subject movement.
Still images are stored on JPEG (Exif 2.2), DPOF and movies with sound on Quick Time Motion JPEG at 30/10fps. These images can be viewed on the large 3" TFT LCD display which has an approximate field of view of 100% and playback modes include; thumbnail display, slide show, calendar and dual. Images can be stored on SD and SDHC memory cards and MultiMediaCard.
The Panasonic Lumix FX50 ISO sensitivity equivalents are; auto/I.ISO/100/200/400/800/1250 with White Balance including auto, daylight, shade, cloudy and halogen. The built-in flash has auto, red-eye reduction, slow syn and forced on/off choices. A Li-ion battery pack is included (3.7V) with AC adaptor available as an optional extra. The Panasonic FX50 has a battery life of approximately 300 pictures.
Included within the Lumix FX50 are preselected scene modes where the appropriate settings have already been selected to suit particular scenes and these include; portrait, sport, night, fireworks, snow, beach, candle and starry sky. Colour effect modes include; cool, warm and sepia. Picture adjustment offers, natural, standard and vivid.
The Panasonic Lumix FX50 is PictBridge compatible.
