| A multitude of technological features are contained in the slim and stylish body of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 including 7.2 megapixel CCD and 10x optical zoom.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 can easily capture a large group of people, extensive landscapes and majestic buildings due to the 28mm wide-angle Leica DC lens. Used in conjunction with the 7.2 megapixel, 10x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom excellent quality pictures are achieved.
The zoom ratio can also be extended to 15x in 3 megapixel resolution using the Extra Optical Zoom facility which means that in total 60x zoom is possible.
Inclusion of Mega O.I.S. (prevents blurring from shaky hands), Intelligent ISO (compensates for motion blur) and the Venus Engine III (quality image processing) means that the Panasonic DMC-TZ3 is a camera of the highest calibre.
The Panasonic DMC-TZ3 ISO sensitivity is equivalent to; auto/100/200/400/800/1250/3200 (high sensitivity), White Balance has options of auto/daylight/cloudy/shade/halogen/white set, white balance adjustment. The built-in flash offers auto, auto/red-eye reduction, forced on, slow sync/red-eye, forced off.
A Li-ion battery pack powers the Lumix DMC-TZ3 and battery life is estimated at 270 pictures (CIPA Standard). The DMC-TZ3 has a built-in memory, uses SD/SDHC/MultiMedia memory cards with images stored as JPEG (Exif 2.2), DPOF, QuickTimeMotion JPEG. The 3" TFT LCD has an approximate field of view of 100% and various playback modes such as; 9/25 thumbnail, image rotation, slide show and dual.
A choice of scene modes where selections have already been made in respect of certain situations are amongst the excellent features and these include; fireworks, beach, snow, candle, high sensitivity, baby 1/2, sunset, pet and underwater.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 is PictBridge compatible.
