The Nokia 5200 is a GSM tri-band hand portable phone, supporting GSM 900/1800/1900 or GSM 850/1800/1900 bands with a 128 x 160 pixel active TFT 262k color display. Nokia 5200 features include: integrated VGA digital camera and 3GPP video player/recorder, MicroSD card support, Bluetooth 2.0 and IrDa. The Nokia 5200 is also a Java-enabled phone supporting MIDP Java 2.0 and additional APIs.

The Nokia 5200 looks almost the same as its big brother, the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic. Although the 5200 doesn't carry the XpressMusic branding, it's clearly designed as another music player phone, but is a mid-range phone targeted at the more budget-conscious consumer.

It's a nicely sized phone. The 5-way navigation key works nicely and there are dedicated camera and radio keys on the side for easy access to these functions. The volume keys on the side double up as zoom keys when the camera is in use.
